About NLC

It is a pleasure to introduce to you Nutricia Learning Center (NLC) a unique education tool for health care professionals managing patients with special nutritional requirements. Nutricia North America is a global health company that develops, manufactures and sells Advanced Medical Nutrition for Specialized Care. Nutricia North America is dedicated to supporting clinicians through our extensive education programs, including live webinars, peer-to-peer programs, lunch and learns as well as intimate workshops where clinicians can interact and share their experiences. Our goal is to become a trusted partner providing comprehensive resources for optimum patient care and continuing education in specialized medical nutrition.
 
We understand that clinicians, like all people, learn in different ways which is why we present different venues and opportunities to share and learn. One of our unique education venues is Metabolic University, a novel one week intensive workshop for metabolic genetic clinicians. This program is coordinated through the Children’s Hospital of Colorado. Success of this program has been published in a peer-reviewed nutrition journal.
 
As part of the NLC we will provide to you clinical tools to help you manage your patients, including information specifically for you to share with families and patients. One clinical tool is the nutrition flow charts to help you identify the best way to nutritionally manage your patients. Currently, we have focused on Cow Milk Allergy, Short Bowel Syndrome (Intestinal Failure) and Eosinophilic Esophagitis. In the future, we will expand to include other medical conditions which require specialized medical nutrition.
 
Each nutrition flow chart is clearly referenced to help guide you through the process of how best to manage your patients’nutrition care plan. As a further reference we have compiled a comprehensive list of peer-reviewed publications on nutrition management of gastrointestinal and food allergy. Most referenced peer-reviewed publications specifically note effectiveness of Neocate products in medical nutrition management of gastrointestinal and cow milk allergy conditions.
 
As we expand our NLC program we welcome your input on ways to improve and innovate so that we may best provide to you a unique optimal learning experience to meet your needs and those of your patients.
