HEALTH & WELLNESS

Medical
Nutricia North America (NNA) offers a preferred provider organization (PPO) health care plan that offers members the flexibility to choose their own doctors or hospital and control health care costs. The plan is administered by Aetna. The medical plan includes prescription drug and discount vision coverage. Coverage begins the first day of the month following one month of employment.

Dental
NNA offers dental coverage through Delta Dental. Participants may use any dental provider they choose but you save when you use dentists within Delta Dental’s PPO network. The Delta Dental plan covers most preventive, restorative, orthodontia and major dental procedures. Preventive care, including routine exams and cleanings are covered at 100% with no deductible. Coverage begins the first day of the month following one month of employment.

Health Club Membership
NNA is committed to the happiness and health of its employees. To encourage a sense of well-being, the company provides employees access to join the health club at which Nutricia holds a corporate membership (currently Gold’s Gym) or select a health club of their choice. Eligibility for this benefit begins the first day of the month following one month of employment.

FINANCIAL BENEFITS

401(k) Savings Plan
NNA’s 401(k) Savings Plan helps employees set aside money for the future to help them meet their retirement goals. Employees are eligible the first of the month following thirty (30) days from the date of hire to enroll in the company-sponsored 401(k) program, managed by the Principal Financial Group. The current employer match is 100% of employee deferrals up to 8% of salary. Eligibility for the employer match is the first enrollment period (January 1st, April 1st, July 1st and October 1st) following one year of service. Employees may contribute amounts up to the IRS and plan limits.

Basic Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D)
NNA provides Basic Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance, through Aetna, to help protect employees and their loved ones, at no cost to employees. All regular full-time employees are automatically covered for 100% of base annual earnings plus on-target bonus to a maximum of $200,000. Coverage begins the first day of the month following one month of employment.

Short and Long Term Disability
NNA provides Short Term and Long Term Disability Insurance coverage to employees at no cost. Short Term and Long Term Disability benefits replace a portion of your pay if you become ill, injured, or disabled and are unable to work. These plans provide employees valuable income protection and can help employees and their dependents when they truly need it. Coverage begins the first day of the month following one month of employment.

TIME OFF
Taking time off is important to recharge, spend time with family and take care of personal matters. NNA provides a variety of time off options including:

Bereavement Leave
It is important to take time off following the death of a family member to attend the funeral or memorial service and take care of personal matters. NNA provides bereavement leave for up to 3 paid work days.

Holidays
All regular NNA employees receive time off to enjoy holidays. The lists below shows the paid company holidays that are available each year:

4. Memorial Day
5. Independence Day
6. Labor Day
7. Thanksgiving Day
8. Day after Thanksgiving Day
9. Christmas Day

Jury Duty
If you are a regular full-time employee, NNA will pay for up to one (1) week of jury duty.

Parental Leave
NNA supports employees and their families in one of the most important times in life – the birth or adoption of a child. The Paid Parental Leave (PPL) program allows both mothers and fathers to take time off from work to bond with their new child. Eligible primary caregivers can take up to 26 weeks of leave paid at 100% of their work schedule. Eligible non-primary caregivers can take up to 12 weeks of leave with 4 weeks paid at 100% of their work schedule.

Personal Leave
Personal leave may be used to take care of individual matters that cannot be taken care of during non-working hours. Employees may schedule up to 3 personal days each year. If you join NNA during the year, personal leave is pro-rated.

Sick Leave
At NNA we encourage a healthy work environment. When you aren’t feeling well, sick leave provides you with paid time off to stay home. You may use sick leave for:
• Medical and dental appointments
• Preventive care
• Care of a health condition (treatment, diagnosis, etc.)
• Obtaining legal or social services if you are the victim of domestic violence, sexual assault or stalking
• Any other reason in accordance with sick leave policy

Paid sick leave accrues at a rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, capped at a total accrual of 56 hours per calendar year.

Vacation Leave
NNA recognizes the importance of leisure time in achieving greater productivity. Employees begin to accrue vacation on their first day at NNA.

OTHER
Education Assistance
NNA has an educational assistance program designed to help its employees upgrade their skills and improve their performance. All regular full-time employees with at least six months of continuous service with the company are eligible for this benefit.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP), managed by Aetna, is available at no charge to employees and helps NNA employees be at their best, physically and emotionally. Aetna confidentially provides employees and their family members with objective, third-party support and advice for navigating life’s challenges.

Emergency Travel Assistance Program
This benefit provides employees access to travel assistance administered by AXA Assistance USA, Inc. through Aetna. This service offers both employees and their dependents medical, travel, legal and financial assistance services, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year worldwide. This is a company paid benefit, meaning Nutricia NA pays the full cost for this coverage.

Discounted Auto and Home Insurance
Employees have the opportunity to purchase auto and/or homeowners insurance through Mutual Liberty at special group rates and savings. The program features a wide range of personal property and casualty products including auto, homeowners, personal liability protection, condo, renters, identity fraud expense coverage, motorcycle, and watercraft.

Free snacks and drinks provided at office locations.
